you are new to woodworking, the Incra system reviewed here is primarily designed
as a router table jig. Incra also makes a similar system that can be used as a
tablesaw rip fence that can also accept the Wonder Fence
for router operations.
The positioner can and has been used for a multitude of applications besides these
though.If
you have never used one of these incremental jigs before, you are in for
a
treat. It will only take about five minutes of operation to conclude they
are
the best thing since the invention of the circular saw blade. The Incra LS SuperSystem
represents one of the major milestones in modern woodworking accessories. Incra

Screw Micro Adjust

the fence. As you turn the micro adjust, it makes an audible click at each 1/1000th
inch. The new black laser engraved micro adjust bezel is adjacent to the micro
adjust knob.

Sliding Scale
Template Channels
All LS Positioners include
a Primary
Stainless Steel Scale, a "Floating" Reference Scale and an Auto-Centering
Scale.
The Primary scale adjusts on a magnetic track in the first channel
to indicate distance from the cutter. The Reference Scale "floats" in
a second channel to indicate distance from the last cut or any other reference
point of your choosing. The Auto-Centering Scale fits in a third channel to automatically
and Effortlessly center your work for any operation. This is particularly useful
for joinery applications such as making box joints and dovetails. The remaining
two scale channels are used for any of the 51 Joint-making Templates or "Fixed
Increment" Templates that are included in all System packages (Templates
are not included in stand-alone LS-only packages) .
